ars poetica originated in at the absolute end of 1995... at its conception was dave on guitar, jerry on bass and vocals, and jeff on drums. of course... that lineup only held until luke showed up that night and became the bass player. jerry took the opportunity to layer our sound with his solid guitar rhythm.

poetica had since gone through several member changes; jeff was replaced with randy, and has incorporated a third guitarist: mike. both, it seems, had their audition at a gig... the only official way to join ars poetica.
